Medical massage is an outcome-based therapy, primarily, the application of a specific massage techniques targeted to the specific problem(s) presented by the client. The therapy involves a thorough assessment by the medical massage therapist, followed by an evaluation and then the tailored massage therapy for the client. Follow up prescribed exercises and stretches are often advised.
